More Than Just a Tree Farm!Long before "Choose and Cut" Christmas trees were heard of in this part of Texas, my father, Homer C. Patrick, had a dream of growing Christmas trees . I was just a boy, but I held on to Dad's dream. Unfortunately, Dad passed away before the first crop of trees were planted. But if Dad could look down from Heaven, I think he'd be proud. Not only would he see Christmas trees spreading across the land, he would also see the happy faces of children learning to incubate eggs, plant trees, and take care of the land in our educational farm tours; he would see youngsters thrill at the softness of a bunny or a baby goat at our farm zoo; he would see families creating new traditions as they enjoy a hayride or have a cup of hot apple cider before going home to decorate their fresh-cut Christmas tree; he would see birthday parties filled with farm games and face painting; and he would see awe on the faces of believers as they watch the sun rise over the beautiful Eastern landscape during our Sunrise Easter service. We thank God for what he has given us and we want to share our blessings with every visitor who experiences our farm. We invite you to make Sunset Hill Tree Farm part of your family tradition!
